Built in 1829 this engine is located at Middleton-By-Wirksworth, Derbyshire. Click for directions. The engine is in motion 10.30am - 5.00pm. powered by compressed air on the following days in 2007:

The Middleton Top Engine & Leawood Pump Group also look after the Leawood Pump which stands beside the Cromford Canal near Cromford. This is only a short distance from the Middleton Top Engine and can easily be visited on the same day.
